Cats who teach me to fly…

I did this for Miemi today.

A heart-shaped chrysanthemum. Hope Miemi loves it.

Cashie and Sunkiss are very loving. I love to see all of them living in harmony. Look at them!

This is little Polar Elka sleeping soundly.

Thank you to every one of them and all the cats, Tabby, Puss, Mr Slow, Sneaky, Snowy, Queenie and many to be named and especially to my angel Miemi. Without them there will not be me.

Instead of using fire to release the sky lantern, we used hilum balloons to fly. We inserted 5 balloons and let it go.
This was Mel’s blessing to Miemi.

It went up…

…and up…

and up and gone…

We did not manage to release the last one. The sky lantern is still in my vehicle. I am not going to burn or throw away. I will keep it and release it one day.

I believe Miemi received all our blessing including the last one that did not fly:).

Miemi’s candle burned about five days.

I am so happy to commemorate Miemi this way.

Everyday I tell Miemi I love her. After one year, nothing change. I believe Miemi feels the same way too.

There is not much changes except that I saw something white that look like worm. Miemi and Mel’s pot have it. I am not sure if it is worm but I am going to investigate.

Mel and I failed to release the second sky lantern cos it was windy and the place was not suitable for us to do so. Disappointedly I went back to Whampoa to feed the cats.
I met my neighbour and I told him about the sky lantern. He said why not we try releasing here. Well, we failed again to do so. Instead of flying up, it flew down cos the lantern was not ready to be released yet. Anyway, the lantern was not damaged. I picked it up. I have decided to make use of balloons to fly the lantern instead.
Let’s see how is Miemi’s daisy plant.

I noticed that there is this white thing that look like worm and I am not sure if it is worm. I will investigate further.
Miemi’s candle is still light up. I can even smell it when I was at the corridor just now.
Today, 23 Feb 2014. Miemi might have gone for a year, however, she lives in my heart and I know she is with me everyday. I felt her last night, so did Mel. Our relationship is not something that anything or anyone can take away and it is a new feeling for me to feel always connected to her. It’s something that I cannot explain. I know we are connected and it will always be.

Today is Miemi’s first year anniversary. Beside planting a plant to commemorate her, I also light up a candle for her.

We got the jar of candle last night and placed it on her altar. I want the candle to be lighted up for a week. The scented candle smell good. It is call the ocean star. Blue in colour.
Mel and I also released a sky lantern last night around 11plus. We prepared three sky lanterns. One from me, one from Mel and one from the furkids. It was quite windy last night and we couldn’t get a right spot and right weather to release the lantern. The wind was not entirely strong last night.

We lighted the lantern and waited for it to expend before we let it go. Mine was the first one to go. I wrote my blessing to Miemi on the lantern.
Since it was quite windy, I got quite nervous as I was afraid the lantern might set fire elsewhere. My heart kept beating fast once the lantern was released. So scared that it got burn and it flew away and fast.

And it just flew.

Further and further away. I said a prayer for Miemi.

In the end, it was no where to be seen.
We wanted to continue to release another two lanterns but we were too scared. Scared that we may accidentally set fire. So we decided to release it somewhere else this evening.
It was fun actually and funny also!!! Cos I got panicked somehow ha…
