We have just completed the Tara chanting and prayers. We started our first session yesterday at 7.30p.m. It is a meaningful celebration this year. And it will be every year.

Chet, the senior community cat at AMK is adopted by a kind lady. Chet is old and has a slight kidney problem. She is unable to jump due to her old age. The neighbours in the area love her a lot. She was well taken care by the people. I went to visit Chet a month ago and I could not find her. She was always at the same spot whenever I visited her. I called one of the caregivers and she actually took her in. I was so happy. It was the most joyous moment for me in 2015.

This is Chet in her new home.

Days later, her mummy bought her a bed:). What more can I ask:)?

Sunshine remains active and playful as ever. It has been more than a year that I have brought Sunshine home. She was very ill then. Sunshine is still taking Retromad1. I am delighted  that Retromad1 will be sold in the market soon. There will be hope for FIV and FeLV cats.

Mischievous face!

Many kittens have been adopted in 2015. And they have all gone to a responsible and loving home:). These include the three siblings – Gin, Debbie and Kelly from Catholic Junior College, Angel, Patrice and Elsa from Whampoa, and Brownie from Hougang. The sad side is Moo, Ginby and Donpak had gone missing… And Blessed met with an accident… They will always be in my heart.

The beneficial thing that happened in 2015 was I have finally found my Sangha and an authentic spiritual teacher. Practising Dharma has benefited me wholly. By practising, it will also benefit others.

In 2016, I hope to benefit others as much as I can by practising dharma, accumulating merits through virtue action, sending dedications and making the right effort.

It is five minutes past midnight. I not only hear the firework but also smell the firework now. Fireworks may look beautiful, however, it is meaningless to me and the money spent on the fireworks can be of better use.
Today, we are also celebrating Cashie and Monnie’s birthday. They turn three years old.

A vegan banana chocolate fudge cake for christmas and birthday. I swear that it really taste fantastic. I simply love it! This cake is definitely not for my angels:).

image

My two giants. It was hard to get both of them to sit obediently in front of a cake and take a photo. This is the best memory I want to keep. Just like when I celebrated Miemi’s birthday every year.

I think I am really crazy! So irresistible! Thanks to the kindness of these people who created and baked such wonderful vegan cakes. I got it from Delcies. The true meaning of eating without guilt is to be a vegan.

Mel also created this beautiful photo as a greeting picture to send wishes to others. That’s actually Cashie, he is having a lazy Christmas:).

Light up a candle for Miemi and Sunkiss. May they enjoy good fortune at the present moment and life after life. Through the virtues of my effort, dedication and prayers, may many more good fortunes fall upon them again and again:). And may they behold the three Jewels immediately.

Miemi has been imprinted so deeply in my heart. Whenever I talk to Mel about Miemi,  I had to control my tears.
We had gone through so much. It was only me and her in a small little house. Going through thick and thin.
Pictures of her hanging on the wall. From kitten to eleven years old. Every year on her birthday, I would buy cakes, light up a candle, sing her a birthday song and give her my blessing and wishes. Pictures were taken every year on her birthday. All these happy and beautiful memories of Miemi, of us, will always live in my heart. It stays so deep in the root of my heart. Nothing can replace her.

I know we are going to meet again. Our bond is so strong… it’s unimaginable… It cannot be explained… I know,  we know…

Before we named her Brainy, she was called Drainy because she always hides in the drain. When I do my feeding in the evening, I had to lift up the cover for Brainy to get out of the drain. I don’t know how she gets into the drain. But I know she is always there.

image

Brainy disappeared for the past five days. Negative thoughts began crawling on my mind. However, it failed to control me.
I make a prayer for Brainy today. As usual, I did my feeding. I called out for Brainy loud and clear. I thought I heard something familiar but when looked into the drain, I saw nothing. Not giving up. I called her name again. She appeared! The minute when I saw her,  the joy in me was inexpressible.
Quickly I lifted up the cover and gave her the food that she loves. She loves Royal Canin dry and ate a lot!

Above picture was taken quite some time ago. Brainy looks the same. I guess she must have feared of the noises from the construction site.
Construction will end on next April next year. Hope the cats find peace soon!:)

I am helping Cashie to lose weight through climbing the stairs. Cashie is actually an active boy. He prefers to exercise than to go on a diet. I remember I once fed him with diet food, he refused to eat. He hide at a corner, looking depressed and vomited water because he refused to eat. The best way to help Cashie is exercise. I can see that Cashie enjoys going up and down the staircase.

Sexy Cashie.
We started off with climbing four storeys. Today we were up six storeys. And we are not stopping at six storeys.

Cashie climbing up.

And Cashie coming down. I am always with him. And he really enjoys my company. He simply follows me up and down.

He got really tired when he got back home.

Really really tired!
The next workout will be on Sunday. I need to let his muscle rest for a day. In fact,  Cashie is always looking forward to go out  everyday. I don’t have to force or push him. Most of the time I feel guilty for not being able to let him out as I am running out of time. Three times a week is all Cashie needs. Jiayou Cashie!
