For my beloved Miemi.

I have engaged two pet psychics to connect with Miemi. Both psychics have their own beliefs and their interpretation of their communications with Miemi was based on their beliefs. I know no matter how many psychics I engage and whatever their interpretations, it will not fit into my understanding of Miemi. Therefore, I have decided to be a pet psychic myself to connect with Miemi and fear is no longer an option for me because… love has conquered fear.

I have started to purchase audio recordings on how to connect with animals etc. I need to pay attention closely to what these psychics are teaching to make sure that I don’t miss a thing. I am taking it slowly. I know I am able to connect Miemi and I know she is waiting for me to be connected to her.

Miemi never left me. She is in my heart wherever I go. She is a big part of my family. She is someone I want to remember forever. Someone I am going to meet again and be together again and again.

I want to thank Mel, Cashie and Monnie for keeping me company. They have made me happy. Miemi keeps me going. Mel, Cashie and Monnie are walking with me while Miemi is watching us from above.

I pray to the angels to keep Miemi warm, to provide food and water for her and to protect and guide her. Miemi will always be remembered and missed by all of us. Miemi… Mummy loves you. Mummy always do…

This single stalk of spotted dark brown and yellow mokara orchid is for Miemi. I didn’t know what is its name at first. There are so many types of orchids. All I know is they are orchids.

Don’t the flowers look beautiful and elegant?

I believe I will learn the names of many different types of orchids when I buy them for Miemi. Every species has its own name. As a florist, I think I should know what their scientific name is but learning and memorising them must be learnt in an interesting way. Learning them through buying for Miemi is an interesting way. Not only does this connect me with Miemi, I also get to know their names.

Mel and I had been visiting the garden exhibition during the last few years and we saw many different species of orchids. Some are indeed beautiful. Many are not sold in single stalks. They are usually sold in pots. I wonder when the next garden exhibition will be held.

I love flowers. Singapore’s weather does not allow us to produce all types of flowers as we are living in summer all year round. Unlike countries with four seasons, people living in such countries have the advantage of getting in contact with all types of flowers. Eg. daffodil and lavender, they are not suitable to grow in a weather like Singapore which is hot and humid. Our flowers are usually imported from other countries. We will never have a chance to witness such flowers grow naturally. But never mind, though the flowers are imported from other countries, they still look beautiful and attractive to me.

I volunteered my services for the Cat Welfare Society (CWS) on Thursday. We made house visits to owners of the cats. We checked with them if the owners have sterilised and microchipped their cats. Most of the cats were sterilised but not all wanted their cats to be microchipped. The reason why we were visiting the owners was because CWS is providing free transportation for their cats to visit the vet for sterilisation and microchipping. Both to and fro. For low income family, CWS does provide subsidised rate for sterilisation and microchipping. Either the owner pays half or full.

I didn’t do much talking that day. It was my partner who did all the explanation. I was there petting the cats and driving my partner to the estate.

It took about three hours to complete our task. It was a hot and humid night that night and it was making me tired. I left the kittens for eight hours. Believing that Monnie and Cashie have each other to look after. Miemi did well when I was not at home the whole day and for so many years. So, there is nothing I should worry about the kittens.

This afternoon Mel and I went for a Bodi meditation introduction course. I kind of like the way they meditate. Mel and I signed up for the two day elementary meditation course and it is completely free which attracted me. Of course, I can’t just receive what is given to me. I will make a little donation and/or make contribution by helping the centre out if help is needed.

Mel likes the meditation too. The centre does provide an eight day meditation course but I would like to try the two day meditation first before I decide to proceed to the eight day meditation. Hopefully, the two day meditation would not disappoint me. No, it is I who should not hold such high expectations.

I have not started playing badminton yet. I need to do so soon.

Time passes so fast and it’s Sunday tomorrow. I have a baking demo tomorrow morning and I have to prepare myself to conduct household interviews in the late afternoon. Hopefully, I can complete at least three interviews smoothly.

I love spending time at home. Though I do not live in a big house, I love being in the comfort of my home because I have all I need at home. Due to the weather, my home may be stuffy but still I love to be home. It’s a haven to me.

I am happy that I have been receiving flower orders. It keeps me busy a little and keep my life balanced a little. What I am lack now is exercise. I think I need to start from somewhere. I was thinking of doing a little jogging this evening but I did not do so as I was… lazy I guess. I was actually reading. I wanted to have a badminton game tomorrow. However, I just feel… I don’t know how to describe. I just want to do some activities that are near my house.

Mel bought me brownies from Famous Amos. I love chocolate. Famous Amos has increased the price. A 100gm of no nuts cookies cost $5.20 now. I used to buy it at $4.80. Perhaps I should work as a part-time staff and enjoy their cookies for free:). Or I can bake my own cookies. I can bake a big jar of cookies that I can eat it for a month:). Chocolates always make me smile:).

I hardly buy bread nowadays as it is getting expensive. I would rather bake it myself, even for a simple white bread. However, I would still buy it once in a while.

Before the brownies I had today, I had raspberry chocolate cake at TCC with Mel. TCC cakes are nice. Oh… the cakes and ice cream from Awfully Chocolate are fantastic too. Miss their chocolate. I still have two slices of brownies in my fridge. I love to eat them at my leisure.

I have a surveyor interview tomorrow afternoon and volunteering work in the evening with the Cat Welfare Society. I feel that I have not done much for Miemi. I hope to help as many cats as I can in the future.

Monnie must have loved the flowers I arranged for Miemi. Red roses and carnations for her in a Famous Amos cookies tin:). Let the flowers bring a smile to Miemi and friends and everyone at the rainbow bridge.

Mel and I need to get close to the nature. Hopefully, we will visit Macritchie reservoir this weekend.

Cashie and Monnie just had their dinner. They both are resting or sleeping right now.

I still miss and love Miemi like before. I wish she can visit me often. I love her so much…

Monnie and Cashie are amazing kittens. Both have their own personality. Cashie is a very loving cat, while Monnie express her affections differently. Cashie loves making all sorts of noises while Monnie is soft but not shy at all. When they play, they play like wild cats.

Cashie is bigger and fatter and Monnie still maintains her slenderness. Monnie is beautiful. Her spots and strips make her seem like both a tiger and savannah cat. Cashie has an honest look to me. He is sleeping right beside my foot right now, licking his foot. Monnie is in the hall I guess.

Every day I cook three meals for them. Mel always says they are just like vacuum cleaners. They eat whatever I cook for them. They have dry food in between meals. They are so much more fortunate than Miemi.

Although Miemi was alone without any animal companions, she had all my love and attention. I gave her everything that I had and could. I display our photo right beside my bed so that I could see her every day. I carry her in my heart everywhere. She is still my family member and will be for as long as my spirit is around. Nothing can destroy our bond.

I bought 2 stalks of pom pom for her two days ago.

They are yellow and orange colour pom pom. I want to bring sunshine to her. Hope I did…

Even Miemi is gone now. She makes me feel how having a family feels like. She is not really gone actually… I always feel her with me and we are still together. With Cashie, Monnie, Miemi and her friend and Mel, I felt the family bond. It is a happy feeling.

Cashie has gone under the bed and sleep. I don’t understand why cats like to hide under the bed.

Over the weekend, I watched “The life of Pi”. I love the movie very much. It’s a journey that a boy had with a tiger. Animals do have souls. The show reminded me so much of my life with Miemi. She was the purpose why I am still alive and she still is the purpose of why I am still here.

I am reading a book “Animal and the afterlife” by Kim Sheridan. I am half way through. The book is about the true stories of our best friends’ journey beyond death and I enjoy reading it a lot.

I am going to create a little rainbow bridge for Miemi. I am still looking for animal figurines. Found it but waiting for their quotation.

I hope Miemi is playing with her friends now or chasing some butterflies. I hope she is doing what she loves right now. I believe she is happy and safe now. I want her to be happy… Miemi is my family member, my best companion and my angel…

Look, Cashie is right on the bed, sleeping…

I love my life. I love Miemi…
