Kid went missing for about a week. I believed that someone must have taken him away. I heard from the neighbours that Kid was injured when he returned. His wounds are better and he is safe now.

Princess too, gone missing for a few weeks and she appeared two days ago. She has lost weight.

IMG_1682.JPG
I hope to see Princess often.

I remember when Puss went missing, I searched for her day and night. I put up her photo almost on every block, hoping that someone could spot her. I even went out to look for her at 2am. I prayed so hard for her to return and I was completely upset.

I believed she was relocated but why… Cats don’t go missing. She was always hiding in a place where there was less traffic. I believe she is still out there. I pray that she is well fed and loved.

So does Queenie. I believe Queenie was relocated too.

As for Baby, I believe someone has picked him up.

Towards all my missing community cats, I can only pray for their safety and that they are all well fed and loved by everyone.

Life is unpredictable. I always give my community cats the best. I have never been stingy to them. Who cares if they have one, two or three meals a day. We all know the life of strays…

I went down to feed little Mydin today. He was so hungry. I fed him lots of wet food and left him lots of dry food and water. I went down on a Wednesday two weeks ago and I saw chicken drumstick and some dry food on the floor and I believe some kind souls have left the food for little Mydin.

I was happy when I saw it. Someone is feeding him.

IMG_1663.JPG
This picture was taken on that day. He didn’t allow me to get close to him but today, he was all so manja.

After he finished the wet food, he was all so sweet. He is the sweetest boy I have ever seen! Look at him!

IMG_1673.JPG

There is a coffee shop beside at where Mydin is hiding. The coffee shop closes on Sunday. Since it closes on Sunday, the person who offered Mydin food may not be able to bring food to him. Sunday is a good day to feed little Mydin:).

I look forward to see little Mydin again. He has my prayer!

Phoebe was rescued at the rooftop of Jalan Membina. She was heard meowing for two weeks at the roof top without food. It was Mel’s cousin who informed us. I wonder how Phoebe got to the rooftop. Needless to say, she was abandoned. Phoebe was so hungry and luring her was so easy. Immediately when she reached for the food we gave her, I grabbed her. The minute I saw her, I felt I wanted to help her instead of just leaving her at the void deck.

I told Mel, no, I am not leaving her at the void deck. We are going to sterilise her and find her a home. When it comes to saving cats, Mel always agrees.

IMG_1671.JPG
Look at that little face. isn’t she cute?

She was actually sterilised but without tipped ear so we thought she wasn’t. The vet had to open her up and confirm cos the scar on her stomach has completely faded away. So sorry Phoebe… She is eating well and eating a lot. She weighs like a piece of paper when we first picked her up. The vet advised us to give her more food to help her put on a little weight. We have two adopters waiting to see her. We prefer the adopters to visit her in another three weeks cos Phoebe is still in the midst of recovering.

This is Sunshine. For six months, Mel and I thought that she was a male. So we named her Sunny. Until the day I brought her for sterilisation, the nurse called me on the phone and told me that I have mistaken her as a boy. I was so shocked! Feeling so stupid.

IMG_1669.JPG
She is so manja and noisy. After knowing that she is a female, I told Mel we cannot call her Sunny anymore. We shall name her Sunshine, Sunflower or Sunseed. Anything but Sunny.

Sunshine is such a tomboy.

IMG_1667.JPG
I got this picture this morning. Finally she was able to stay still.

Lastly, this is Kid.

IMG_1668.JPG
A beautiful long tailed ginger cat. He was abandoned during this year’s Hari Raya spring cleaning.

He gets along very well with Sunshine but when I brought both of them home, they were like enemies when they saw each other. They were hissing at each other. Like Sunshine, Kid is very young. Kid gets bullied by other cats most of the time. He is always hiding but he knows when I call out his name.

Jalan Tenteram is still not free from unsterilised cats. Will it be one day? I doubt so…

Sometimes when I am out for too long, how much I wish I can compensate my cats for leaving them at home for too long. Infact, I shouldn’t be because they have one another. They are not supposed to feel lonely, aren’t they?

When Miemi was with me, she was all alone and I was always out for more than ten hours a day. Guess she must be lonely. I remembered I bought her a bunny to keep her company but she didn’t like it. She didn’t like to have another cat too. She just want to be with me. And me with her too. That is why our bond are so strong and still strong.

How long have I not posted Miemi’s photo here? It has been quite a while.

Miemi sleeping in a box.

Guess Miemi is not alone now. She has Sunkiss sticking closely to her.

IMG_0979.JPG
Little Sunkiss looked so bored.

Sometimes I felt busy footsteps stepping intentionally around me on the bed. I guess the footsteps must be from the two of them :). I would just smile and call out their names.

I think I should not be too worried about the furkids at home.

What would life be without them!

I reached home around 7.30pm and Piper was the one I first looked at. She urinated on the pee pad and breathing heavily. The minute I saw it I know she was not going to go through tonight.

I changed the pee pad and cardboard. I replaced a fresh one and lay her comfortably on the clean sheet.

I kept saying prayers for her. I stayed by her side and pet her. I didn’t stop petting her. She actually knead like a kitten and I hoped she found a little comfort.

It was hard for me to see her breathing heavily and yet there was nothing I could do. The little thing I could do was to brush my fingers lightly on her forehead. When I was brushing, I recalled how she came to me when I called her out for meal. I went up the block floor by floor calling out her name and when she heard me, she rushed to me. She always rubbed against me before her meal and always left after her meal without looking back at me and I always smile when she walked away cos I was happy that she had her meal.

Soon, she knew where to find me and when to wait for me. I didn’t have to find her. She was there for me.

IMG_1665.JPG
The day I knew she was not going to make it, I decided to bring her home. Below was the last picture I took at Jalan Tenteram.

IMG_1661.JPG
I brought her home that evening.
She was so sweet during her five days here. She never turned her back at me. She didn’t meow loudly at me as to show her displeasure. I believed she knew we love her the minute we brought her home.

IMG_1664.JPG
When Piper was about to leave, she howl three times. I am not sure if she was in pain. I don’t know if she was crying. I don’t know what she was trying to say but I am glad that she allowed me to walk with her during her last hour.

Piper was an abandoned cat. I have never seen her until recently. No, Piper was not homeless for long cos she spent her final days in a loving home. We love her!

I will be going to the pets hotel tomorrow at 9am. She will have a common cremation.

Piper, rest in peace! The pain and suffering are over. Run and play at the rainbow bridge! Your paw print stay forever in our heart.

Thank you Piper for coming to my life.
