Mel did her first flower arrangement for Miemi. Hmm…
Melsfirstflower

It was not a complex flower arrangement. Mel has no experience in flower arrangement. Well, not so bad. I believe Miemi will love it!

I did this for Miemi today.

I actually wanted to get the bright pink chrysanthemum for her but it was not fresh and only the white ones are fresh. Next time I will do a yellow colour combination. Hopefully all flowers are fresh. Hope Miemi loves it!

Below is a picture of Monnie. I accidentally took when she was I think yawning or… I don’t know. The picture look as if she was laughing. It was so cute!

I am happy to capture some of their funny pictures.

Monnie has got used to Sunkiss. Sunkiss loves to play a lot and never stop disturbing Cashie and Monnie, We are going to put him up on adoption soon. Hopefully to find him a forever loving home.

Many people think that cat sterilisation is not correct and we have no right to take away the animals’ reproductive organs. Yes, I do agree. No one has the right to remove the animals’ reproductive rights.

I sterilised Miemi, Cashie and Monnie and stray cats – Blackie, Coco and Sunkiss.

I recently sterilised Sunkiss. My heart was always heavy by the thought of sterilising the strays. When I was carrying the cage with Sunkiss inside to the car park to pick up my vehicle, I was glad that it was me who carried Sunkiss and not anyone from AVA. We were on our way to the pets clinic for sterilisation. At that moment, at least I felt that I did not make the wrong decision. I dare not say that sterilising him was the right thing to do but I was not given any other choice to save him and all the cats.

This is Sunkiss.

At least after six days of sterilisation, he can still play and live his life. If he was caught by AVA, he wouldn’t have a chance to live and he would also be unable to provide human comfort. Animals too can accumulate good deeds in their lifetime.

Today, Sunkiss has made Mel and I smile. He plays with Cashie. Monnie is still not used to Sunkiss yet. We are all happy with Sunkiss’ existence. Miemi too:).

Many stray cats have made many people happy. For those people who find them a nuisance, these people seriously need to do some soul-searching. Cats are cats. We cannot change them. We can only change ourselves. Those who dislike cats and can’t wait to get rid of them seriously need to change themselves instead of expecting all living creatures to change for them.

I only hope that the cats that I feed have at least a meal a day. However, people out there selfishly tried to dissuade me from feeding the strays. They threatened and challenged me. They wanted me to stop feeding the strays. I wonder what good does it do to these people to stop me from feeding the strays? Just what good does it do to them???

I stand still and tall. Nothing threatens me. Nothing. Perhaps, I might be the last man standing haha…

Being a cat feeder is not an easy role to do. In order to stand still, one must be brave, wise, knowledgeable and compassionate.

Whenever someone tells me sterilising a cat is sinful, I would replay the day I carried Sunkiss for sterilisation in my mind and tell myself it is always better that I carry the strays for sterilisation than for AVA officers to carry them…

This kitten was abandoned around a week ago. I was very angry when I saw the lady released him. I knew Sunkiss was stressed and scared but there was nothing I could do but to feed him whenever he comes around and yes, he did come to me for food whenever I was feeding Blackie, Puss and the rest. He didn’t come straight to me but he hid at a corner and I happened to notice him and I brought food to him.

I brought him for sterilisation yesterday. I knew he is thin but I didn’t know that he was not well taken care of by the family who kept him.

He is so skinny. The vet said that he is too skinny and needs supplement. He had a fresh wound which the doctor suspected that he inflicted as he licked himself. When I brought him home from the vet and took a good look at him, I realized that he is really very thin and his wound does not look good to me and I can see his bone on his leg. I felt his bony spine and my heart goes to him.

I can’t wait till 10pm last night to feed him. I fed him 15mins earlier. Feeding him little by little. I gave him Virbac nutri-plus supplement  and left him Wellness core dry food the whole night. He had a good sleep after his meal. Mel said that he looked like he hasn’t been sleeping for a long time.

I agreed with Mel. When he was downstairs, I saw him crouching and hiding. He always hid under the car. He was chased by playful Puss and also by Blackie the day before yesterday. Whenever I noticed him, I would feed him with plenty of food.

He is sleeping under my bed now. Sleeping at where Cashie and Monnie are sleeping. I let him roam the house freely and only keeps him in the cage when I am out and when I am sleeping at night. The rest of the time, I would let him out.

Whenever I brought stray cats home, Cashie and Monnie would hiss at them. I hope that both of them are not stressed by what I am doing. That is to help the stray cats.

Miemi was around last night, probably she was wondering which cat I was helping this time. Her visitation was an encouragement to me to help and save the stray cats. I believe she misses me. I can feel her. Just like she knows I miss her too.

I hope I can help Sunkiss to become healthy. Let him put on a little weight healthily. Mel and I were thinking of putting him up for adoption. We have checked with the vet that we can only bath him after 14 days. We will put him up for adoption and find him a good loving home.

I had a great badminton game this morning. Feeling contented, I decided to bake a simple cranberry chocolate cake for myself. It took me only an hour and a half to bake this cake. Chocolate sponge with cranberries and chocolate chips topping. No cream of tar tar, baking powder or salt or even preservatives or artificial colours were added. This cake was all natural.

cake

Yes, a very simple cake.

I did not offer Mel’s family this time cos I want to bake one for myself but I will bring her two slices tomorrow:).

Since no chemicals were added. It may not taste as good as those that I have previously baked but it is definitely safe to eat and healthy too. I prefer to eat it this way. The cake can only be kept for three days. Well, one third of it is already gone. I should be able to finish it on Friday. It is always good to bake myself if I feel like eating cakes. Cakes are rather expensive nowadays. One small slice costs at least S$6. TCC sells at S$7+. Crazy! I would rather bake them myself. I can bake many types of cakes. I can bake chocolate mousse cake which I love most and it even tastes better than what I had outside.

The cheesecake too. I love it. I have never like cheesecake, since I baked it myself that day, I began loving it. Yes, I will bake one that is refreshing. I have not started with cupcakes yet. I will when there is an occasion. Perhaps I should bake some this Christmas for everyone:). Not a bad idea!

Tomorrow is a vegetarian day for me. Yes, I take vegetarian food on every first and fifteenth day of lunar month. This is to commemorate Miemi. I am glad Miemi came to my life.

I did the flower arrangement this morning for Miemi.

Last week I did this for her.

Cashie and Monnie want to be photographed too:).

Miemi has gone for more than six months. I didn’t love her any less. I miss her everyday and tell her I love her everyday. Nothing change. Nothing will ever change.

I saw two huge eagles this morning. They produced noises that were so loud and unusual that I had to looked up and see what it was. Nobody seemed to look up except the cats and I. I screamed “WOW” and hopefully no one heard me cos I might look silly to them. However, no one seemed to notice the eagles or me.

The eagles ignited my curiosity. I wish I could look after one:). Eagles, hawks and snow owls, they are beautiful birds.

Mel was so funny and thinks one of the eagle could be Miemi. Well, I don’t rule that out. Nothing is impossible! I told Mel that when Miemi returns, we will know it’s her :).

Looking at the flower arrangement I did this morning on Miemi’s alter, I smile and look at Miemi’s photo. I want Miemi to know how much her Mummy loves and misses her.
