I brought Deds home last October. He was losing weight and kept vomiting. I can’t bear to see him falling ill on the street. So, I brought him home one afternoon. It took me quite some time to find him. But I didn’t give up.

A complete blood count was done and it showed that Deds was perfectly healthy and we didnt know what causes him to keep vomiting.

ARVC extracted his teeth and Deds ate with confidence and put on weight, however, a month later, Deds began to vomit again. Deds was a FIV carrier. The last time I got him tested and his red blood count was low.

Somehow, I regretted not spending time with him when I brought him home until I realised that his conditions got worsen and it didn’t seem to improve and I began to worry…

This was taken in 2016. It has been more than five years that we had been feeding him…

Above was taken in 2015 and it is my favourite. I love the way he laid down.

I miss him more when I am doing my feeding at Hougang.

On those early days when I was feeding him in 2014, there was a kitten that was less than six month old and we named him Baby. Deds would bring Baby to us and we would prepare meal and serve them. Deds would give his meal to Baby and stand aside. We saw Deds intention and we prepared another portion for Deds. We were actually expecting Deds to share the food with Baby but he did not. Instead, he let Baby have his food. I can never forget his generosity towards Baby. Not many humans can or will do that. And his action stays in my heart forever…

How I wish Deds could stay a little longer with me…

The ‘UPDATES’ post was posted early in the morning today under ‘lost and found pet’ group and was deleted by the admin and the updates was also deleted on my timeline and the ‘missing cat’ notice was posted on 12 April 2019, late night.

This will be kept with me for life.

**UPDATES

The black cat I named George was taken away and put to sleep by SPCA on the same day which was Wednesday, 10 April, the first day that George didn’t turn up for his meal.Someone called me on sunday, 14 April and told me SPCA took George away. As no one was working at the SPCA clinic that day, I was told to call on Monday.
As SPCA has registered me as a feeder in the area, SPCA often call me when there are sick or injured cats but not this time…
On Monday, 15 April at 8a.m., I called them and was told by YaoHuang that he was unable to read the medical report due to the handwriting from the vet, all he can see was “fractured and mouth bleeding” and their vet put George to sleep. YaoHuang said he will call me the next day and give me a full report. On the same day in the evening, Rio, the nurse from SPCA called me and told me George didn’t make his way to the clinic. I asked if she was sure, she said yes, George died when SPCA reached the scene where George was found.
On the following day (Tuesday), YaoHuang finally called in the afternoon, he told me one of George’s hind leg was fractured. There was blood from his mouth. His lungs were damaged and there was a hole on his thigh where there was lots of blood flowing out from his stomach and their vet had to put George to sleep. He said the vet said George was bitten by dog.
I didn’t question him about Rio statement . I don’t have the habit to question people/organisation who lie.
When I picked up George’s body on Monday(15 April) evening, immediately the first thing i did was to identify if that was George.
Yes! That was my “George, George, George of the carpark”. He was cold and stiff and smell of urine. There was no smell of blood, neither was there stain of blood nor a hole on his thigh. He shaped like a plastic bag with his body covering his face and bend like a moon. Looked like he was thrashed immediately after the shot was given. Eyes were closed.
According to the person who informed me that SPCA took George away, it happened between 5.30pm to 6pm on Wednesday, 10 April. I didn’t see a drop of blood on the scene, neither was there stray dogs roaming in the area. I only saw the feeding area was in a mess…
***Thank you everyone for helping to share and trying to help:).
George was cremated on Tuesday, 16 April at 12.45pm. His ash will be returned to me and i am glad that SPCA kept his body for five days.

Black cat went missing 3 days ago. His feeding area was in a mess with plates turning upside down and water bottle toppled over. Kibbles scattered all over. I believe the cat was taken away. Pls contact me at 92289664 if you notice a new black cat in your feeding area.
Rescuers and feeders, pls help to share.
***I no longer believe in what the town council says.

We have lost another family member, Hope. I wasn’t strict with his diet but we didn’t stop giving him subcut fluid, phos binder and kidney supplement. We even gave him TCM. I want him to have the food he loved to eat. Nothing is going change even if I restrict the food that he loved to eat. We all have to go….

This was Hope eating his christmas cake heartedly away last christmas. I just love watching this video again and again.

I have rescuers telling me you shouldn’t give him too much of this and that… I have no regrets on the way I took care of him.

The party hasn’t started and Hope was the first one to come sniffing the cake.

He had all the boiled fish he wanted as well.

Hope always welcome us when we got home. He would follow us around and rub against our legs. Mel always says Hope was such a good boy and she purposely too half day leave to send Hope for cremation.

May he have a favourable rebirth… and practise the Dharma…

I remembered that  Miracle was posted on Facebook to seek for help three years ago. I felt unbearable looking at her photo with a deep opened wound on her paw and decided to find her. Her paw was fully healed despite the fact that there were missing fingers as they were eaten by maggots. Miracle was all well except for her chronic nasal issue.

Three years of seeking for a cure for her chronic nasal issue but to no avail. As days went by, Miracle got thinner and thinner. The vet suspected lymphoma. Miracle was as strong as Citta. She was beside me when she passed on. I didn’t see her go as I was sleeping and woke up in panic to check if she was ok in the middle of the night. She was gone when I turned around looking at her.

She was always so cute to look at. Big eyes with expression filled with curiosity.

This is Miracle at her peak(fattest moment).

I didn’t feel her or Lady returning. But that doesn’t mean they did not return. No matter where they are, I believe our karmic connection will bring them to connect the three Jewels which I ask and pray for them everyday.

Always remembering Miracle.

May she have a favourable rebirth in order to meet all right conditions to be able to meet the three Jewels, practise the authentic Dharma, meet good and wise teachers and be enlightened like Buddhas n the Bodhisattvas for the benefit of all sentient beings.

On the first day of 2019, a adopter decided to adopt one of my cat who was already on home trial for more than a week and that was good news!

Juna was abandoned more than a month ago at Sembawang. Due to her sweet temperament, I decided to find her a home. And I am glad that she found one.

So, I sold my car but Mel bought one. And this new year, I will have a new car to drive. I told Mel we’ll share the car. It’s a blue car. I like it but not attach to it.

I am selling my flat as well and today is the first viewing. Well, no reply from buyer, guess it is going to take a little while.

Oh… Mel has promoted and tomorrow is going to be her first day of work at a different place. What a challenging life she has!

Venerable Chodron was here last month and I didn’t miss a talk. I have known two great teachers and have attended and still attending their teachings. One is Venerable Sangye Khadro and another is Venerable George Churinoff. I have learnt so much from from them and am getting more and more familiar with it.

Unlike those days when I was young. I would write all my resolutions for the year. Today, I would live each day at a time. I have bought four Pali canon text and they are the discourses of the Buddha. Already started to read and I hope I could live long enough to read them all and also to contemplate and memorizing the important points.

This year, I hope more of my cats can be adopted to a loving and responsible home. Four are on pending. Two will be going for home trial this sat and another two will be going to good home end of this month. Hope all goes well…

May I have more realisation through the practise of dharma and less afflictions and may all my teachers have good health and long lives and may all sentient beings be liberated from cyclic existence. May I leave an imprint deep enough into my cats’ mind and may they never ever forget…
