We thought he was just having a flu, so we started off with antibiotics and Romeo’s so called owner, despite providing her the antibiotics, she didn’t give him. Romeo’s condition got worsened and we had to send him for a second opinion. At first he was diagnosed with pneumonia at GAIA Vet clinic.
Romeo was grasping for air when I visited him at Mel’s place at noon. No, he can’t wait until the vet appointment on that evening and hurriedly, I sent him to Star Vet clinic. Along the way, I was praying hard that Romeo could hang on until we reach the clinic.
It was on 19 March that Romeo was admitted to the hospital. He was given oxygen immediately.
Romeo got slightly stable after 2 nights of stay and Dr Anu said that it is going to be a long term treatment and he was discharged.
After giving him medication for seven days, Romeo has shown improvement, however, he hasn’t been eating by himself and I hope he eats by himself tomorrow. He also started cleaning himself.
We’ve rented the oxygen concentrator for him, just in case he needs oxygen. Good thing is he only used once on the day we brought him home. I guess probably he was stressed with the new environment and me too, getting overly concern over his breathing. I hope everything would continue to go well for him.
We managed to raised fund for him. We thanks the donors for contributing to Romeo’s vet bill. The full amount was fulfilled. Thanks to Xiumin for contributing the unfulfilled amount. Big or small, everyone played a part in supporting Romeo’s treatment equally. I couldn’t have done it alone.
May all, even those who didn’t donate and yet shared the post, in helping Romeo receive help whenever they need!
