I have finally made my decision to bring Carl home last Thursday. Since the day Moo had gone missing, I noticed that Carl kept looking under the vehicles searching for Moo. Despite Carl is home with me now, I still go back to the carpark everyday just in case Moo returns.
Before we brought Carl home, we sent him to the vet to do a FeLV and FIV blood test and to check his mouth. He has been drooling for quite sometime.
Carl is FeLV and FIV negative. We also learnt that Carl has left with only two teeth. Vet estimated Carl to be more than ten years old. My guess is he is at least eight years old.
He is all calm when he was home for the first day. That proves that he really is a senior cat.
Carl is on a two weeks quarantine. The above photo was taken on the second day of his arrival.
Above photo was taken just ten minutes ago. He is sleeping above Miracle”s cage now. I think he misses his life at the carpark. He keeps looking out of the window and sniffing the night breeze coming from the windows. Yes, it is windy here.
Today is only the fifth day and I am already letting him out. None of my cats dare to get close to him except innocent Cashie and Elk.
I believe Carl will blend in with all my cats.
Another senior cat is having his retirement at home…
