I started to feed Carl about a month ago at Whampoa market. It all started when I noticed him begging for food at the coffee shop. He looked so pathetic and everyone seemed to ignore him. I can’t bear to look at him this way. I rushed back to my vehicle immediately to prepare dry and wet food for him.
I lured him away from the coffee shop where he begged for food and placed the food in a quiet corner for him to eat. However, I knew the place where I left his food was not his territory. And I spent a few days looking for his territory and finally I found his ‘sister’ and a bowl of water and I believe they have a feeder. He definitely has a feeder but why was he begging for food everyday?
Three days ago, I saw Carl limping. He wasn’t looking that serious at that time until two days ago. Mel and I sent him to the vet yesterday.
Carl had two x-ray on his right paw and a blood test. Good thing was his bone was not fractured but only swollen. His drooling is due to gingivitis. He was given two injections. One pain killer and another anti inflammatory. Vet prescribed medicine to be given to him once a day in order to fit my schedule.
This evening we went high and low to find Carl. We found him. I gave him his medicine and lysine. I mixed it in his wet food and he finished all. He is better today. He managed to touch his limping paw on the ground, still limping though but better.
This is Carl. Just finished his meal:).
I am happy to see him everyday and will feed him everyday. Just hoping that he will stop begging for food. Cos it hurts me watching any cats begging for food…
