Mel and I were at Mr Lee’s memorial event at Yishun in the evening. The waiting time to pay respect to Mr Lee at the parliament house was too long for me. Whether to pay respect at the parliament house or at the memorial event around Singapore, it will be the same.
There were many people. We had to queue in order to offer my flowers of appreciation to Mr Lee.
I did this arrangement at the wee hours last night. It says ‘THANK U”. I also attached a card on it.
I was so worried that the arrangement might not reach Mr Lee as the queue at the parliament house was way too long and I cannot afford the time. Luckily, there is a memorial event nearby where I can pay my respect to Mr Lee, as well as to send my flowers of appreciation.
It has been five days since the day he left. I am getting better. I might feel sad again after his cremation. Knowing that we have lost someone that we had been taking for granted for so long… Our future from now on would be without Mr Lee… How weird it is!
