Someone posted on Facebook that there were five stray dogs attacking a cat at Hougang ave 3. The block is only a few blocks away from where I am feeding. The cat at Hougang ave 3 was bitten to death yesterday afternoon. The cat looks young on the picture. It hurts me to see it and my heart sunk immediately.
So the dogs are still roaming around! I have contacted most of the dogs welfare group but none reply. I was left with no choice but to call AVA. We called AVA two weeks ago. They agreed to work with the dogs welfare group before trapping the dogs.
I knew that AVA was lying. Lying about working closely with the dogs welfare group… What else can I do besides calling AVA? If anything were to happen to the dogs during trapping, people will start cursing people like us for calling AVA.
We did seek help but none bothered to reply.
Recently there was a mother stray dog trapped dead by a contractor that AVA has hired. The news went viral on Facebook. And the person who complained was terribly cursed and sweared at by the public. I was freaked out by the behaviour of these animal lovers…
After reporting to AVA two weeks ago, the dogs are still around. I am worried sick about Bluz and Snowy. Bluz has problems with his eyesight and Snowy is a slow lady.
I packed the food for the Whampoa cats just now and I also packed for the cats in Hougang. I brought six small cans of Fussy Cat wet food. I don’t go to Hougang in the morning but tomorrow I am going to make an extra trip to Hougang in the morning and give them their favourite canned food.
This is the only little thing I can do for them… Wish I could do more… Wish the dog welfare groups can be sincere for just a little more…
What I can do right now is to pray for all the cats’ safety…
