Phoebe was rescued at the rooftop of Jalan Membina. She was heard meowing for two weeks at the roof top without food. It was Mel’s cousin who informed us. I wonder how Phoebe got to the rooftop. Needless to say, she was abandoned. Phoebe was so hungry and luring her was so easy. Immediately when she reached for the food we gave her, I grabbed her. The minute I saw her, I felt I wanted to help her instead of just leaving her at the void deck.
I told Mel, no, I am not leaving her at the void deck. We are going to sterilise her and find her a home. When it comes to saving cats, Mel always agrees.

Look at that little face. isn’t she cute?
She was actually sterilised but without tipped ear so we thought she wasn’t. The vet had to open her up and confirm cos the scar on her stomach has completely faded away. So sorry Phoebe… She is eating well and eating a lot. She weighs like a piece of paper when we first picked her up. The vet advised us to give her more food to help her put on a little weight. We have two adopters waiting to see her. We prefer the adopters to visit her in another three weeks cos Phoebe is still in the midst of recovering.
This is Sunshine. For six months, Mel and I thought that she was a male. So we named her Sunny. Until the day I brought her for sterilisation, the nurse called me on the phone and told me that I have mistaken her as a boy. I was so shocked! Feeling so stupid.

She is so manja and noisy. After knowing that she is a female, I told Mel we cannot call her Sunny anymore. We shall name her Sunshine, Sunflower or Sunseed. Anything but Sunny.
Sunshine is such a tomboy.

I got this picture this morning. Finally she was able to stay still.
Lastly, this is Kid.

A beautiful long tailed ginger cat. He was abandoned during this year’s Hari Raya spring cleaning.
He gets along very well with Sunshine but when I brought both of them home, they were like enemies when they saw each other. They were hissing at each other. Like Sunshine, Kid is very young. Kid gets bullied by other cats most of the time. He is always hiding but he knows when I call out his name.
Jalan Tenteram is still not free from unsterilised cats. Will it be one day? I doubt so…
