Yellow is a female community cat in Hougang. I didn’t know how she got there. I think she was there for quite some time and I just didn’t notice her.
When I saw her perhaps about four to five months ago, I was surprised that she was so skinny and hungry. She is just next block to where I feed. Perhaps this is the reason why I did not notice her. She was so afraid of humans. I had to place the food and walk away and she would then come for her food. There were so many times that I wanted to take her for strerilisation, however, I just could not get closer to her and she was always hiding at the construction site.
One day, I finally saw her pregnant and it got me so worried about her. I fed her both wet and dry food with supplements everyday. Hopefully, her delivery would be a safe and smooth one and her kittens and her will be strong and healthy.
However, I felt it is just not right and safe for her to give birth at the construction site. I discussed with Mel and we decided to hire a trapper to trap her.
We managed to trap her in May. Since I am so scared of seeing her give birth, we temporarily placed her at the cattery for twenty days. She didn’t give birth immediately after she was sent to the cattery.
And so, this is the Yellow family.
This is a boy. He is popular cos many are interested to adopt him and we named him Sparkie.

He is friendly, playful, active and adventurous.
Another boy is named Vanilla.
A boy too, named Hugo.

Hugo loves to play fight a lot.
This is the only girl, named Minnie. She is an imprint of her Mummy.

She is gentle and calm. Just like any other female cat.
And finally the queen, Yellow.
When I first fed Yellow, she was still a kitten. Guess she was about six or seven month old. She is around say ten months now.
We are trying to find them a good home. Hopefully they are adopted in pairs. I also hope that Yellow and the kitten/s can be adopted together too.
