I volunteered my services for the Cat Welfare Society (CWS) on Thursday. We made house visits to owners of the cats. We checked with them if the owners have sterilised and microchipped their cats. Most of the cats were sterilised but not all wanted their cats to be microchipped. The reason why we were visiting the owners was because CWS is providing free transportation for their cats to visit the vet for sterilisation and microchipping. Both to and fro. For low income family, CWS does provide subsidised rate for sterilisation and microchipping. Either the owner pays half or full.
I didn’t do much talking that day. It was my partner who did all the explanation. I was there petting the cats and driving my partner to the estate.
It took about three hours to complete our task. It was a hot and humid night that night and it was making me tired. I left the kittens for eight hours. Believing that Monnie and Cashie have each other to look after. Miemi did well when I was not at home the whole day and for so many years. So, there is nothing I should worry about the kittens.
This afternoon Mel and I went for a Bodi meditation introduction course. I kind of like the way they meditate. Mel and I signed up for the two day elementary meditation course and it is completely free which attracted me. Of course, I can’t just receive what is given to me. I will make a little donation and/or make contribution by helping the centre out if help is needed.
Mel likes the meditation too. The centre does provide an eight day meditation course but I would like to try the two day meditation first before I decide to proceed to the eight day meditation. Hopefully, the two day meditation would not disappoint me. No, it is I who should not hold such high expectations.
I have not started playing badminton yet. I need to do so soon.
Time passes so fast and it’s Sunday tomorrow. I have a baking demo tomorrow morning and I have to prepare myself to conduct household interviews in the late afternoon. Hopefully, I can complete at least three interviews smoothly.
