Miemi has lost a lot of weight. At first I thought she had bad stomach. Mel and I brought her to the vet and the vet did some blood test. Her liver and kidney were healthy. The vet prescribed some medicine to get rid of her stomach acid as well as medicine to increase the good bacteria in her stomach.
I had a hard time feeding her. Miemi was extremely angry with me and I had to pacify her. I understand how hard it is for a cat to take medicine. After a week of medication, she ate again but within a few weeks, she stopped eating and she suffered drastic weight loss.
We decided to bring her to the vet again. She was diagnosed with Lymphoma, a common type of cancer in cats. I was totally devastated upon hearing the news. The thought of Miemi leaving me was completely unbearable. I know she will leave me one day but I didn’t expect it to be so soon as she is only 11 years old.
Miemi is going for her 3rd chemotherapy today. The chemo is through injection. She did perfectly well after her 1st and 2nd chemotherapy. She ate, played and rested every now and then. I was happy and a little sad. I cherished every moment with her, spending quality time with her. I hope to improve her quality life. Right now I am on my bed typing and she is resting in a little carton box with her eyes slightly closed.
I really wish a miracle could happen to her, just like how it happened to me. I wish she could be with me happily for another 2 to 5 years or even longer and her cancer will be completely cured. Nobody knows what future lies ahead. What I can do is to love her as much as before.

The picture shows that she was waiting for me to open the door for her to conduct her inspection of the corridor. Look! She has a brand new collar!
Every morning I would let Miemi out to enjoy the sunlight as well as to walk around the corridor. I consider her as inspecting the corridor. She likes it when the wind blows at her. She will lift her head high and sniff the natural air.
She is always so loving and adorable.
